Moong dal r puli

Ingredients

1. Moong daal 100 gm

2. Ginger paste 1 teaspoon

3. Green chillies 2

4. Rice flour 3 tablespoon

5. Flour 2 tablespoon

6. Cumin seeds 1teaspoon

7. Hing / asafoetida 1 teaspoon

8. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon

9 . Salt

10.milk 1/2 cup

11. Mawa  1/4 cup

12. Grated coconut 1/2 cup

13. Juggery 

14. Refined oil

15. Mustard oil 1 tablespoon


Process

Inner filling:

Heat milk in a pan, after the milk starts boiling add Mawa mix it with milk till it dissolves.

Add juggery into it, followed by grated coconut,mix everything well till the moisture evaporates. Bring down from pan and cool it.

Outer surface:

In pan roast the moong dal for 5 mins in low flame. In a pressure cooker add fried moong dal water, Salt, turmeric powder and close the lid, boil it for 10 mins.

In a pan add Mustard oil, cumin seeds,green chillies, Ginger paste, boiled moong dal, mix everything well,add some water if required, add hing on it, Salt if required, cook for 5 mins add rice flour and make a tight mixture.

Bring it down from pan, let it cool.

Now take some  moong dal mixture , roll it with your palm , give it a shape of a container, add some filling into it, do not fill too much filling, close the ends of the moong dal container to give shape of momobor puli.

coat with flour, heat refined oil, shallow fry in oil.

Serve it hot.
