Almond Kalakand

Kalakand is a famous bengali sweet dish.Kalakand preparation is quite easy and it requires Minimum Ingridients.
Kalakand is normally garnished with Pesta. But in current pandemic situation Pesta was not available at home, moreover I didnt have my favourite dessert since a log time. So tried in a bit different way using Almond pieces

Ingredients
1. 500l of full cream milk
2. 1 teaspoon of grinded alum
3. Dusted sugar 2 tablespoon
4. Mawa 1 teaspoon
5. Powder milk 2 tablespoon
6. Ghee 1 teaspoon
7. 7/8 almonds cut into small pieces

Process
 Heat the milk in a container at low flame.
Add Powder Milk, sugar to the milk
Once the milk is reduced to 50%, add powdered alum.
Further reduce milk so that no moisture is left.
Brush ghee to a container.
Add milk and garnish it with pieces of almonds.
Bring it to room temperature and then keep it in refrigerator for about 2 hours.
